Papers are being accepted for the "Workshop on Human Trafficking, International Crime and National Security: A Human Rights Perspective" to be held February 3-4, 2012 in Goettingen, Germany. Its goal is to provide a forum for the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas among lawyers, economists, political scientists, sociologists, and other scholars. Empirical, theoretical, and policy-oriented papers are welcome. Travel expenses will be reimbursed and accommodation will be provided for presenters of accepted papers. The Workshop is sponsored by a Crime Action Grant from the European Commission, Directorate-General Justice, Freedom and Security. It is organized by Dr. Seo-Young Cho, who developed an index to measure the level of anti-trafficking policies in 177 countries during 2000-2009. The 11th Annual DoD Cyber Crime Conference is accepting abstracts for presentations, workshops, and panel discussions during the conference, which will be held January 24-27, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. Possible topics include cyber crime investigations, digital forensics, cyber crime law, sentencing issues, and e-discovery. The organizers are particularly interested in increasing the number of panel discussions. Lawyers may propose conference programs that could meet CLE requirements.
